The Beth Bryan Creative Arts Fund was established by friends and family to perpetuate the memory of Beth Bryan (1940-1995). She provided leadership, vision and support in helping build a foundation for the arts in the Fayetteville community. During her 31 years in the area, she acted as President of numerous organizations including the Junior League, the Friends of the Library, The Arts Council, and Friends of the Cancer Center as well as a leader of the 1990 renovations of the Cape Fear Regional Theatre. She designed and taught arts-educations programs in both the public and private sector.

Purpose: The intention of this award is to financially support, promote and nurture an individual’s artistic talent.

Past Awards: The award is based on the quality of the talent presented by the applicant. There are no specific requirements for this award. The Beth Bryan Award has previously been awarded on broad basis, including the following artistic categories: Violinist – Vocalist – Creative Writer – Classical Guitarist – Graphic Artist – Theatre Actor – Contemporary Dance Performer – French Horn Musician – Piano Musician – Fine Arts Painter.
