The High School All-County Band Clinic was a two-day intensive music experience for county band students selected through rigorous auditions for the 9-10 Concert Band and the 11-12 Symphonic Band.  The clinic culminated in a full concert on Friday, March 1,  at Reeves Auditorium on the campus of Methodist University. The Music Department of Methodist University is serving as host for the two day clinic.  Guest clinicians are engaged to work with these talented students in an intensive clinic setting.

Chris Langdon, 9-10 Concert Band Clinician, is a North Carolina native from Fayetteville where he has served as the Director of Bands at Terry Sanford High School since 2010.  During his time at Terry Sanford, Langdon has grown the program to almost double its size, and looks forward to continue to foster that growth and sense of family that the band program at Terry Sanford holds.  He also teaches AP Music Theory through the CCS teleconference program and serves on the Arts Education Curriculum Team to assist with shaping curriculum for county arts education students.  He received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education (2010) from Campbell University and has had the pleasure of serving as a performer (2005, 2012, and 2015) and Visual Captain Head and Assistant Corps Director of the Carolina Gold Performing Arts Organization in 2016.

Jorim Reid, will serve as the 11-12 Symphonic Band Clinician.  Composer, Instructor and Director are just a few of the hats worn by Jorim Reid, Fayetteville State University (FSU) Director of Bands.  Since joining FSU in September, 2015, Reid has doubled the size of the band and class enrollment, executed fall and spring symphonic band concerts, established the MBXplosion (2016) as an annual high school clinic and Band Days with over 200 attending, a spring Symphonic Band Clinic, and Spring Open House pep band recruitment. Under his leadership, the band had the pleasure of performing for Al Sharpton and former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Most recently the band received an invitation to perform in Bahrain at its Annual Formula 1 Gulf Air Grand Prix.  In 2018, the band was selected as the CIAA Band of the Year.
